internal sealing bristles for guide rails
Our most common guide rails for roller shutter doors are supplied with PVC sealing strips as standard, as they help the roller shutter to run more smoothly and significantly reduce wear.
PVC strips with sealing brushes or sealing lips (smaller photos on the right) were often used to reduce the ingress of air and dust into the building interior through the clearance required for the shutter to move.
The newly developed PVC sealing strip is equipped with a sealing brush, the bristles of which are positioned almost invisibly inside the guide rail against the roller shutter. They are therefore less noticeable than conventional sealing bristles and offer several advantages:
- the roller shutter is sustained to stay in place by the light pressure of the bristles
- In addition, the roller shutter runs more smoothly:
- the shutter touches the guide rails less frequently and in a more dampened manner
- the unwanted vibrations of the roller shutter (especially with high-speed doors) are reduced
- protected position of the bristles
- sealing effect as with conventional bristles
(against drafts and dust from outside) - with unimpaired appearance
