Accessory for guide rails
Improvements of winding behaviour and sealing, reduction of wear
PVC sealing strips
Our most common guide rails are equipped with PVC sealing strips (marked in red). The use of such sealing strips can generally result in a significant improvement of the winding behaviour and noise of a roller shutter door and a reduction of wear.
PVC strips with sealing bristles
Sealing bristles on the guide rail reduce the penetration of air from outside under increased wind pressure circumstances due to the gap required for movability of the roller shutter in the guide rail.
PVC sealing strips with internal sealing bristles
The gray PVC sealing strip has been newly developed in a version with internal bristles.
Almost invisible from the outside, the bristles lie inside the guide rail against the roller shutter curtain and keep out air and other environmental influences.
In addition, the roller shutter is held by the bristles on both sides with light pressure and can therefore be moved more smoothly.
PVC strips with sealing lips
Sealing lips on the guide rail reduce the ingress of air from outside, which can penetrate into the building interior at increased wind pressure due to the gap required for the movability of the roller shutter in the guide rail.
Thermal insulation profile
The thermal insulation profile, made of TPE foam with a sensationally low lambda value of ~0.07 W/mK, is mounted together with the guide rail 1.1369 and insulates it from the outside air. A laminated lip sits between the guide rail and the wall after installation, thus providing thermal separation and acoustic decoupling of the guide rail from the wall.
Optional insert profile for guide rail 1.1369
An optional insert profile specially developed for the guide rail 1.1369 offers additional resistance against the storm hooks being pulled out of the guide rail in the event of particularly high wind pressure.
