Christmas Project 2020
As in previous years, with our Christmas campaign we want to make a difference in those places where people are in need - in third world countries or "right on our doorstep".
This year, for the first time - supported by our IT service provider BuCs-IT - we have chosen an interactive way to include our customers in the decision between the following three projects:
Covid-19 aid in third world countries
Through our partner organization OID (Opportunity International Deutschland), we have made a contribution to helping people to help themselves in third world countries, for example through school scholarships, training grants and social microfinance services.
In these countries, Covid-19 is currently not only threatening people's health, but also their hard-earned livelihoods.
Food distribution in Ennepetal
In the small food distribution shop on Lindenstrasse in Ennepetal-Voerde - a distribution point for the Wuppertaler Tafel - volunteers provide people in need from Ennepetal and the surrounding area with food two days a week.
Craft training in Bangladesh
One of the biggest problems in Bangladesh is the high level of unemployment across the country. In rural regions in particular, many young people find themselves lacking prospects.
With a mobile training center, our partner organization "Andheri-Hilfe" brings vocational training to the young people in the villages.
